LEM® Backwoods® Venison Bacon Cure – 25 lb
Turn ground venison or other meats into rich, smoky homemade bacon with LEM® Backwoods® Venison Bacon Cure. This expertly blended bacon seasoning cure provides everything needed to create flavorful bacon using wild game or domestic meats. Designed for consistency and ease of use, it delivers classic bacon flavor with excellent texture and reliable results for large batches.
For best results, use a mixture of 80% lean ground meat and 20% ground pork. Dissolve the cure in water and mix thoroughly with the meat until tacky. Pack firmly into a loaf pan or 2" cake pan lined with disposable cooking sheets, cover, and refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigeration two hours before cooking.
Cook by smoking according to your smoker manufacturer’s instructions or bake in an oven preheated to 200°F until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Allow to cool, then freeze briefly for easier slicing.
